What I do:
I teach at a very small Catholic school in North Western PA. I am in my 5th year of teaching and my 4th year at this school. I teach art for kindergarten through eighth grades and language arts for fifth through eighth grades. Whew! I'm out of breath just typing it!
| That's me with a set of wings ALL of my students took part in making! While I have around 90 students total, there are about 200 feathers! |
What I know:
I have a Bachelor's degree in art education and a Master's degree in special education. Both from Mercyhurst University. Go Lakers! I'm also working on getting a master's in art education, but that's still in the works.
How I got my start:
I've always wanted to be a teacher. My mom is a kick-butt preschool teacher turned principal, so I've been around awesome teaching my whole life! I also have aspirations to be on Broadway some day, but I'll take teaching for now.
Besides teaching, I love to do theatre. I've done over 20 musicals and plays and I've been in "the biz" if you will for 16 years! I also love to sing, create my own artwork, make all kinds of cool stuff with my Cricut machine, and read lots and lots of YA books. But hey, that comes with the territory.
